On Saturday, Rapper Wiz Khalifa was shoved to the ground and handcuffed by airport police after refusing to dismount his “hoverboard.” Khalifa later posted video of the encounter to his Twitter account.
All because I didn’t want to ditch the technogy everyone will be using in the next 6 months. Do what you want kids. pic.twitter.com/7F0KIQgFrA

But I’m not here to discuss the potential police overreach or a lack of compliance by a suspect. Rather, I’m fascinated by Khalifa’s rapid adoption of new technology starting with the use of his gyroscopically stabilized hoverboard to his use of the VHS Camcorder app, which was released the day before the incident.
VHS Camcorder converts your high quality cellphone video into grungy, analog-inspired goodness complete with time/date stamp that is reminiscent of the 80s and 90s. And following the incident, Khalifa reiterated that he is no Luddite.
I stand for our generation and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don’t like it eat a dick!
