These days, in the world of professional and collegiate sports, sharing photos to social media platforms in real time can be just as important as mainstream media sharing breaking news. It’s all about the power of the moment.
For Kyle Zedaker, Team Photographer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, adding a lightning fast mobile workflow to their creative process means game-winning visuals can reach fans and followers quicker than ever before.
We sat down with Kyle for 20/21 Vision: The Innovation Summit to learn how his team uses the PhotoShelter mobile app, FileFlow, to share images with their stakeholders in real time and how they’re innovating the organization’s digital asset management and distribution strategy.

Live Transfer
With the beastly DMN Connect or a mini MiFi Mobile Hotspot at the ready, Kyle is able to connect to the internet and transfer photos of all the action to the marketing team, graphic designers or other stakeholders as quickly as he can.
A dedicated Collection in The Buccaneers’ PhotoShelter account is already set up, meant for live transfers, where PhotoShelter library staff can then select and download images in FileFlow and easily share them via email, Slack, social media and more.
For Kyle and his team, it really comes down to the gravity of the moment. Touchdown photos, for example, call for a quick turnaround. A speedy mobile workflow streamlines their process from camera to social media, and the fan excitement starts rolling in.

“It really depends on the gravity of the moment, right? For something closer to a touchdown or anything like that, not only is our social team trying to use that… but then our designers are also pulling that image and working them into score graphics, quarter graphics, and things like that. So there’s other elements of the content team where the speed plays into it. But it depends on the gravity of the moment – that target time – where we’re trying to get it from the camera to whichever platform its destination is.”
Collaboration
When working in a remote environment with a handful of team members or stakeholders offsite, having organized files and easily downloadable images is key. With FileFlow, shared access to all of their visuals means creative directors, coaches, social media managers and more can review images from their own phones or tablets and provide feedback in real time.
Quick collaboration has never been easier, even as virtual communication presents challenges for creative teams.
