Step #8: Spend 30 minutes looking for duplicate files.
Set a timer and sift through your files to find the best copies. Put the best (highest resolution) copies in your one easy-access place so you can find them easily.
You probably have a ton of duplicate files floating around, especially when it comes to your logo or your best brand images.
Make sure the highest resolution files are easy to find.
Then, if you have time, delete the ones you don’t need or move them to an archive folder – they’re just wasting your time and clogging up space.
But, deleting the other copies should be low-priority – this is a tedious task that doesn’t deserve much of your time, and it’s less important than making the best copies easy to find.
