Here at PhotoShelter, we believe in the power of a moment, and we want to take this moment to share some words of gratitude. This year, we have been incredibly thankful for our wonderful community, as well as our own team.

Thank you for inspiring us. Your resilience and passion for your creative work keep us going every day.

Thank you for sharing your insights with us, from webinars, tips and articles to our two all-day virtual summits and our new Slack community for creative teams. Thank you for being there for your peers, and helping each other through a year full of challenges.

As we head into Thanksgiving, we asked our team to share a few words of gratitude. I hope you’ll read through their answers below, and let us know what you’re grateful for at @psforbrands.

“I’m grateful that 2020 brought my family closer together despite all of this year’s major challenges. I’m grateful for a passionate, dedicated, resilient and creative team at PhotoShelter. I’m grateful for all the medical staff, researchers and scientists racing to keep us all healthy and safe, as well as the essential workers who never stopped serving our community. Thinking of loved ones, friends and colleagues at this time and hoping next year we can all be together.” – Andrew F

“I am so incredibly grateful for the love of my family and for their health. This year has been so challenging but we have grown closer than ever. I am also grateful for the inspiring work I get to do at PhotoShelter and the amazing team I have the privilege of working with every day. Also, so thankful to have this adorable little creature in my life! Pip’n has made these difficult times so much more bearable!” – Scott F

“For me, this year the little things have actually become the biggest things. Emie losing her second tooth, Bernie learning to sing the ABCs, getting a bigger couch that my family can all fit on…in our NYC apartment, haha :)” – Kim M

“I am so grateful to work with people who keep me laughing and make me feel inspired every day. In 2020, the PhotoShelter marketing team has lifted me up, and our wonderful community has inspired me again and again with their resilience, passion and willingness to help each other.” – Kristin T

“I’m thankful for my coworkers, family, friends, and 2020. In the darkness that is COVID, light has managed to filter through. We’ve seen a lot of issues that have gone on far too long brought to the table and addressed. People have pulled together in the mist of divisiveness. I think this is the most thankful I’ve been in a long time.” – Damari M

“In a year where isolation has become the norm, I’m extremely thankful for the ‘small’ moments. Being able to marry my best friend in our backyard and celebrating with our immediate family (and many friends on zoom) is a memory we’ll never forget.” – David W

“I’m incredibly grateful to have such a supportive, compassionate, and motivating work family at PhotoShelter.” – Anne C

“I’m grateful for my family – never would have imagined that simply sitting outside, a few meters away from each other, would be so important and meaningful.” – Yoav G

“This year, I’m grateful for the Photo Bill of Rights and the determination of countless leaders who are working to make the photography industry more equitable and inclusive for all. And on a personal level, I’m especially grateful for my therapist and good wine. :)” – Caitlyn E

“I’m grateful to have friends who show me their love, support me and are there for me – even when we’re apart. Knowing there are people out there willing to see you again gives the motivation needed to get through these crazy times.” – Abril G

“I’m thankful that this year provided us with more family time as a result of everyone working and studying from home.” – Caroline S

“This year I’m grateful for the power of hope and patience, my personal growth, and the people in my life who are “safe spaces.” – Amanda Y

“I am grateful this year because despite everything that has happened to the world I have my family by my side, I have a job that I really like and I am safe and sound. I am also grateful that I have learned a lot in recent months and have been growing a lot personally and professionally.” – Vicky F

“This year I’m grateful for the chance to explore and grow. Although changes in the way we work came with unique challenges, they’ve also brought the opportunity to learn new skills and explore places we might have otherwise never experienced.” – John S

“This year I’m grateful for perspective!” – Randy N

“A lot of people are experiencing hard times this year. I’m grateful to Photoshelter for providing myself and my coworkers with stability and a high level of compassion and transparency in how they are coping with this pandemic. Most of all I am thankful for the health of my friends and loved ones.” – Constantine C

“This year, more than ever, I am thankful for my health and for my family and friends. I’m also grateful for the memes and the technology to stay in touch with people I can’t travel to see!” – Niamh C

“I am grateful for my WFH partner. He has helped keep me company and has even sent a few emails for me. A year’s worth of working from home can catch up with you, so his presence has meant a lot!” – Mike M

“This year I’m grateful to be in Scotland with my best friend. Even though I’m far away from my USA friends and family, we’ve all kept in touch and I’m extra grateful for that feeling of closeness in tough times!” – MacKenzie C

“I am very thankful for the health of my husband, family and friends, as well as my old lady pup who is still healthy for 13 years young. I am also grateful to have a great job during these trying times, and to work at a company with some pretty awesome people ✨” – Rachel B

“I’m grateful to have a team that asks how I am before asking about work on Slack. I’m thankful that the people I care for the most are still doing okay in this pandemic and are making the effort to stay in touch, stay creative, and stay informed in this crazy year.” – Jelan C

“Thankful for family, friends, and flannel.” – John J

“In 2020, I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to make new friends in a new city, as well as stay healthy (and employed). From losing 20lbs, to exploring the city and trying new restaurants, it’s been such a privilege to have health and strengthen relationships during a very tough year!” – Soovin C

“This year I’m grateful for the small, spontaneous moments of joy that attack when you least expect it. In a long, dark year, it was the familiar tv show and the warming cup of bodega coffee that saw me through the heavy monotony of every day. But then there was that one particular Saturday morning that erupted into a city wide dance party and it was truly one of the most uplifting, unforgettable moments of my life.” – Ellyn H

“This year, I am especially grateful for mine and my family’s health as well as my family and friends in general! 2020 has been trying (to say the least!) and I wouldn’t have been able to get through it without those closest to me. Also- puppy cuddles, I am very thankful for those, too!” – Ashley S

“Thankful for sunsets, and friends, and family, and the generosity we get from all three.” – Alex B

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We’re grateful for you!
